The Anglo-Belarusian Society has been in existence since 1954. You can find out more about what the Society has done in the past by pressing the 'History and Activities' link on the right.

The Council of the Society intends to broaden the range of the Society's activities beyond public lectures and occasional publications and make this website one that can provide wide-ranging information about Belarus, its people, history and culture. We hope soon to be able to add pages that deal with at least some aspects of these topics.

'The Chairman's Thoughts' page offers a collection of random reflections on events organised by the Society, or in some other way connected with Belarus. At the moment it is little more than a personal notebook that may be of interest to others. Ultimately it will be developed as a blog
